Performance Poetry

For those of you who have asked, “What is a simile?” and got the answer, “It’s like a metaphor,” we have the co-curricular for you!

SAR’s official performance poetry team, led by Ms. Edelman, provides a space for any creative students interested in performing, and writing -- you guessed it -- poetry. No experience is necessary!

Our meetings focus on workshopping our past pieces, writing new pieces, learning about poetic forms, and getting to know each other as a team!

Feel free to write about whatever you want; what happens in slam stays in slam. The SAR team always brings it on competition day, virtual or in person (no pressure)! Join the best in the Yeshiva league! We’re just dying to meet you, and trust me, we’re not being dramatic at all.
